The 44 km is a course that offers an ideal compromise for runners who want a greater challenge than the 22 km, but who find the 65 km less easy. You will leave Bourg d'Oisans with the aim of reaching Saint-Sorlin d'Arves within the given time. The 44 km route includes a demanding climb passing through Villard-Reculas, with an elevation gain of 2000 meters over 20 km, followed by a crossing of the lakes of the Balcon des Rousses, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Grand'Maison lake during your descent.
You will then have the opportunity to reach the Etendard refuge (2430 m) off-trail, for a real mountain trail. Refueling at the refuge will allow you to regain your strength before starting the descent to Saint-Sorlin d'Arves, where you can savor your accomplishment. This course is a real challenge for trail lovers, with incredible landscapes and an unforgettable adventure.
