It has been the mythical race of the Trail de l'Etendard since its creation in 2013. Departing from Bourg d'Oisans at 6am, you will have only one objective, to reach Saint-Sorlin d'Arves on time. For this you will first take the climb to Alpe d'Huez via Villard-Reculas, 2000 m of elevation gain in 20 km before skirting the lakes of the Balcon des Rousses. There follows a descent to the majestic Lac de Grand'Maison before arriving at the Col de la Croix de Fer and its supply point.  
You will then face the climb to the foot of the Glacier at an altitude of 2700 m by making a loop around the 3 lakes. The altitude will be felt because you will be at the top of the course. After more than 50 km you will arrive at the foot of the splendid Glacier de l'Etendard and its peak at an altitude of 3464 m, it has to be earned! there is only a long, slightly technical descent to Saint-Sorlin d'Arves before crossing the finish line!
